Preparing for the Unexpected: Train Derailment Tabletop Exercise

At Anderson Development Company, safety and preparedness are top priorities—not just within our facility, but across the community. Recently, we partnered with Lenawee County Emergency Management and local emergency responders to help plan a tabletop exercise focused on a train derailment involving hazardous materials.

This exercise brought together public and private sector groups, including local chemical companies, to simulate and discuss response strategies in the event of a real emergency. The engagement and collaboration from all participants demonstrated the community’s commitment to safety and preparedness.

We are proud to contribute our expertise and resources to initiatives that strengthen emergency response efforts. Partnerships like these ensure that responders and industry professionals are equipped with the knowledge and coordination necessary to protect people, property, and the environment.
